Meaning: The Opening | Has 7 Verses | Revealed In: Mecca (Makki Surah)
1. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
2. ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.
3. ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
(Allah is) The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
4. مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
(Allah is the) Master of the Day of Judgment.
5. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
You (Allah) alone we worship, and You (Allah) alone we ask for help.
6. ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
(Oh Allah) Guide us on the Straight Path,
7. صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
The path of those whom You (Allah) have blessed, not of those who have earned Your anger or gone astray.
