‘Itni Goliyaan Maarungi…’: Ariba Khan Threatens Fuel Station Worker with Gun in Viral Video

Post by muslimsforum »

A chilling incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district has gone viral: 21‑year‑old Ariba Khan brandishes her father’s licensed .32‑bore revolver at a CNG station attendant following a dispute over safety protocols. Captured on CCTV, she threatened, “Itni goliyaan maarungi ki ghar wale pehchaan na kar paayenge” — sparking outrage across social media. According to local police, the weapon and 25 live cartridges have been seized, and a case has been filed under the Arms Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Her father’s arms license is now likely to be revoked.

It is illegal to threaten with weapon

1. Violation of the Arms Act, 1959:

(a) Section 25: Using or threatening with a licensed weapon in public without a justified reason is a criminal offence.
(b) Section 27: Punishment may include imprisonment and cancellation of the arms license.

2. Use of Threat and Criminal Intimidation:

(a) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) equivalent of IPC Section 506: Threatening someone with death or bodily harm is criminal intimidation, punishable by jail time.

3. Misuse of a Licensed Firearm:

(a) A license is given for self-defense, not to threaten or intimidate others.
(b) The act could result in the revocation of her father’s arms license as well.
