Do not create false date of birth certificates for your children
Falsifying a date of birth certificate for your children — whether to gain early school admission, delay responsibilities, or for any other benefit — is not permissible in Islam and carries both moral and legal consequences.
Islamic Perspective:
1. Truthfulness is a fundamental value in Islam. Be aware of Allah’s presence and walk alongside the truthful:
Practical & Ethical Consequences:
(a) It teaches children dishonesty from a young age.
(b) It can cause legal problems later in life (e.g., identity mismatches, passport issues, job verifications).
(c) It undermines fairness in systems like education and government services.
What Should Be Done Instead?
As Muslims, we are taught to rely on Allah (Tawakkul) and follow the right path even if it seems difficult. Seeking worldly gain through falsehood may bring short-term ease but long-term harm and spiritual loss.
Making a false birth certificate is haram (forbidden). It contradicts the values of honesty, justice, and trustworthiness taught in Islam. Parents must set a righteous example and trust in Allah’s plan rather than resorting to deception.

2. Lying is a major sin, even if it appears minor in context. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:“O you who believe! Remain conscious of Allah and associate with those who speak the truth.” (Qur'an 9:119)
3. Tampering with official documents is a form of deceit. This act can lead to broader corruption, unjust advantage, and mistrust in society.Being truthful guides a person to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. But falsehood leads to corruption, and corruption ends in the Hellfire." (Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim)
