The claim that Muslims "spit in food given to non-Muslims" is absolutely false, offensive, and rooted in misinformation, prejudice, or deliberate hate propaganda. Here’s the truth:

1. Islam strictly forbids such behavior.

(a) The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught Muslims to treat all people—Muslims and non-Muslims alike—with honesty, dignity, and kindness.
(b) Islam strictly prohibits contamination of food, insulting others, or causing harm.
(c) The Qur’an commands Muslims to deal justly and kindly with Non Muslims (Surah Al-Mumtahanah 60:8).

2. No authentic Islamic teaching encourages this.

(a) There is no verse in the Qur’an or authentic Hadith that promotes or allows such a disgraceful act.
(b) In fact, Islam emphasizes cleanliness, hospitality, and respect—especially when serving food.

3. Misinformation campaigns and hate speech

(a) This claim is commonly used in Islamophobic propaganda to demonize Muslims and create distrust between communities.
(b) It often surfaces during times of political or communal tension, especially on social media or hate-driven news platforms.

4. Muslims serve food to non-Muslims all over the world

(a) In schools, hospitals, restaurants, and homes, millions of Muslims prepare and serve food to non-Muslims with care and respect every day.
(b) Muslims are known to share food generously, especially during Ramadan, Eid, and community events, regardless of religious background.

Spitting in food is:

(a) Un-Islamic
(b) Unethical
(c) A punishable offense under law in any civilized country

If any such incident ever occurs (which would be an individual crime, not a religious teaching), it should be condemned and dealt with legally, just like with any wrongdoing—regardless of religion. This myth is baseless and dangerous. We should verify information, reject hate, and promote truth and harmony between all communities.
